How much does a website cost in Moldova in 2026?
Concrete numbers, not "it depends". Below are the ranges we actually work with, what changes the price, and which recurring costs to expect after launch.
Short answer
A simple one-page website costs from around €350. A business website with 5–7 pages and local SEO — from €700. A website with automations and an AI assistant — from €1,200 plus a monthly subscription. The final price depends on page count, design, content and integrations — below we explain exactly what moves it.
Indicative price ranges in 2026
These are the public, indicative prices we work with at ForkloreLabs for projects in Moldova. We publish them as a reference point — the market also has cheaper freelancers and more expensive agencies, because "a website" can mean very different things.
| Project type | Who it fits | Indicative price |
|---|---|---|
| One-page website | Businesses with no website, or only a social media page | from €350 |
| Business website, 5–7 pages | Businesses that need separate service pages and local SEO | from €700 |
| Website + automations and AI | Businesses that want a chatbot, a simple CRM and automatic notifications | from €1,200 + monthly subscription |
| Online store or web application | Custom projects with specific functionality | priced after a conversation |
All prices are indicative and vary with page count, complexity, available content and required integrations. We do not promise #1 in Google and we do not hide costs in footnotes.
What drives the price of a website
One quote for "the same website" can easily be several times higher than another. The difference usually comes from these six things:
- Page count — a one-pager and a site with a dedicated page per service are very different amounts of work.
- Custom design or template — an adapted template is cheaper; a design built for your business costs more but sets you apart.
- Who prepares the content — if texts and photos exist, the price drops. If they must be written and selected from scratch, it rises.
- Languages — in Moldova a serious website often needs Romanian and Russian. Every language means more pages to build and maintain.
- Functionality — a simple contact form is one thing; online booking, payments, a CRM or an AI chatbot is another.
- SEO — "website published" and "website found on Google for the right searches" are two different levels of work.
Recurring costs: domain, hosting, maintenance
A website also has costs after launch. They are small, but it is fair to know them upfront:
- Domain — roughly €10–15 per year for a .com; .md domains are noticeably more expensive (check the current price with the registrar).
- Hosting — roughly €5–20 per month for a typical presentation website.
- Maintenance — optional for a simple website; sites with automations or AI carry a monthly subscription that covers the infrastructure and flows.
Always get in writing who owns the domain and the hosting. If the domain is registered in the agency’s name, your company does not own its own web address — and moving to another provider becomes complicated.
Why "the cheapest" often ends up more expensive
We regularly see the same scenario: a business pays little for a quickly assembled template — no SEO, no Google Search Console verification, no proper mobile version — then pays a second time for a rebuilt website, because the first one brought nothing.
A free website builder can honestly be a fine first step. The limits show up fast: your own domain, speed, local SEO, Romanian + Russian versions, and forms that land in a system for tracking clients. If the website has to bring enquiries rather than merely exist, the difference shows within months.
How to get the exact price for your business
An exact price can only be given after understanding your situation: what you have now, what services you sell, what content exists and what the website must do. That is why we offer a free audit — we look at your online presence and tell you honestly which option makes sense, including when the cheapest one is enough.
FAQ
Questions about website pricing
01How long does it take to build a website?
Roughly 2–4 weeks for a presentation website, 4–8 weeks for a business website with several pages. The timeline depends most on how quickly the content is ready (texts, photos, decisions).
02Is a freelancer cheaper?
Often yes, especially at the start. The risks are long-term availability and the fact that everything depends on one person — if they disappear, you are left with a website nobody can maintain. That is not a reason to avoid freelancers; it is a reason to demand full access to the domain, hosting and code.
03Can I build a free website myself?
Yes, with a website builder — an honest option for testing an idea. The limits: your own domain, speed, local SEO, RO + RU versions and forms connected to a client-tracking system. When the website must bring enquiries consistently, businesses usually move to a properly built one.
04Why are all the prices "from"?
Because the scope differs from business to business: page count, languages, existing content, integrations. After a free audit you get an exact range, in writing, for your specific situation.
05What does the monthly subscription for the AI option cover?
The chatbot infrastructure, maintenance of the automation flows and the required third-party services (APIs, CRM). The exact amount depends on configuration and volume — we set it transparently before starting.
Want an exact price, not a "from"?
Request a free audit — we will tell you honestly which option makes sense for your business and what it would cost, in writing, with no pressure and no unsolicited offers.
